MyLibrary@CDL was a prototype of a customization tool designed to provide users with the ability to organize frequently used information resources in a personally meaningful way. The MyLibrary@CDL prototype, adapted from the design of an open source system at North Carolina State University, was released at CDL in July 2000, but retired several years later, when it became apparent that the development necessary to make this into a tool that would meet the majority of user needs proved too resource-intensive given all of CDL's priorities.
